West Perth Public Library's Addition

This blog follows the progress of the addition being built on the West Perth Public Library in Mitchell, Ontario. When finished, the addition will almost double the public space and the entire building will be accessible with the inclusion of an elevator. West Perth Library is a Carnegie Library built in 1910.

Heading skyward

Framing of the second floor is now in progress.










Back wall against the parking lot is also in place and more blocks are in readiness to complete the elevator shaft.
